Def down for D3 and reactive frontend!
My ML knowledge is 0 but stoked to learn.
Depending on data source, would be cool to mess with Nuxt.js if you wanna stick with Vue to bring in SSR and make it snappy! It's kind of to Vue what Gatsby is to React.
Hey @maulgoth, I told Andy that I'm a huge React fan and just started developing in Gatsby and have been loving the plugins, but depending on what we'd prefer to learn, I'd jump into Next.js/Vue, etc. I've also been looking into refining my very basic D3 skills.
Some ideas I've had, which can require a variety of skills if anyone is interested in learning:
The CDC/Medicare websites have some pretty cool APIs that hosts a crap ton data. We can build an automated workflow to detect changes in their API endpoints, pull that in and develop our own API wrapper that can access that data for our frontend work. I've built APIs in Python, but have been hearing a lot of good stuff coming from Go.
Also @leaflettuce, I've seen you've done some forecasting work. I'm also passionate about forecasting and I would recommend using Facebook's Prophet library to do forecasting. It's pretty much a black box, but it's forecasting errors are always like 4-5% MAPE.
@leaflettuce , I don't have any experience in the ML.net game, but I have some coworkers who have been peaking my interest. If you have any ideas in that world, please share. I would just need a lot of guidance there...
Let me know any thoughts y'all might have!
