5 years ago the error is saying that invalid arguments are being passed into ffmpeg. here's where that happens: https://github.com/leafo/gifine/blob/master/gifine/commands.moon#L94
If you have access to the code to edit then you can try printing out the full command before it is run to see if anything looks strange.
After selecting the recording area using slop I got this error: :0+0,0: Invalid argument I experience this problem in 50% cases after selecting area to ### record.
What is strange is that after closing the program and reopening it again its works again
