Adding intervall recognition #14

Hi,

I'am using your great web-app to improve my sightreading! It would be cool if you can add a interval generator to practise reading intervals.

I have no idea how moonscript works to contribute to your project sorry. I'am using angular for my web-projects. :-)

How do you want the exercise to show up? Would having it show up as flash cards with buttons below make sense?

rubiktubik commented 7 years ago

My idea was just to add new generator to the "Staff" section, so instead of random notes or sevens i see intervalls in different forms(chords, seperate notes) and i can configure which intervalls the generator shows me. (only thirds or thirds and fifths and so on) i hope you undestands my idea. You also could create an extra flash-card section. For me its is important that i can use my midi keyboard to learn this stuff.

So you want to sight read a specific intervals on random roots, either harmonically or melodically? Do you want it to tell you what interval it appearing?

rubiktubik commented 7 years ago

I think it doesn't matter if it is harmonically or melodically because i only want to train recognising the intervals and play it on the keyboard. If you add this to the "Staff-Section" it doesn't need to tell the interval appearing.
grafik For example in the picture above are notes which are only a third appart. (So i have configured to learn only thirds) The same for chords too. I have hope it is more clear

Thank you for your effort!

I see, you want the randomly generated melody only to move in the specified intervals. Did you want it to move chromatically or diatonically?

rubiktubik commented 7 years ago

I think diatonically is enough.

I pushed something that might be what you want, try out the new intervals generator under staff mode.

Cool!, i will test it. Thank you!
