There is a map in MOP Files that was ment to be a DoTA map, but never got to live. But the map is still there. And it needs a little bit of work 2. But most of the stuff is there. And u can allways reshape the parts you don't like in Noggit.

If u know how to operate in Noggit or any other program u can give it a chance.

My advice would be to:

• choose a core to work on, for example cmangos
• start with updates on that map, small updates, step by step
• build scripts in EventAI
• build scripts in core that are left
• think a strategy of the game
• let it open source, so others can help you out
• keep your money

I allways thought to this kind of ideea that u brought, but my focus is on blizzlike content, I can give a hand only with ideeas, from wich u can choose, if u want.

I'l start with this:

• I love your map name
• You will have to involve destructible buildings in your project

Classes and races selection #1:

• You can rely on alliance and horde with their respective classes and races
• Add the starting points for each faction
• Don't give them max level, but let them get lvl in that map
• modify the mobs lvl gained when killed so ppl can go in lvl fast
• Do a level cap or let it be a bracket system like WSG on level range
• This one is tricky, with talents and spells ... Get your base from the game files or create custom patches for each

Classes and race selection #2:

• U can modify the talent system of each class or disable it, and rely on spellls
• Spells can be introduced for each class u want, scripted in core, and even using the existing ones
• U can mix classes with spells
• Limit the number of spells
• U might need a talent system made off, so each point the char gains in game, to be aded in there, and so he gets the spells.
• Only a limited number of spells to be added and points fo dirrectly in there
• By limitiing the level cap u limit the talent points
• also by talent tree the spells must have a max rank
• Plus ultimate spells

General:

• A lot of db ground work would be needed
• Adding lanes
• Bosses
• One mighty boss
• his system to be spawned, or conditions
• waypoints
• scripts
• Game objects
• mini mobs groups
• buffs for small bosses of the game world when killed
• Vendors
• Items on vendors with sets and so on...
• Currency system for those items to be bought
• Establish a reasonable duration game time

For now this is it. Actually this is only a fraction for what this should be, and I doubt that anyone would do it for 1000 dollars or euros.

My advice introduce it in wotlk client, the best in my opinion
