Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand your concern about the VirusTotal scan of our Qlik Sense extension.

We believe this is a false positive. The file is encrypted to protect our intellectual property. This encryption can sometimes trigger antivirus alerts, especially with systems that use machine learning. These systems might incorrectly flag encrypted or obfuscated files because they cannot fully analyze the content.

Research supports this issue. A study by Ren et al. (2023) found that machine learning-based malware detectors often misclassify benign files when obfuscation is used to protect intellectual property. This likely explains why our file was flagged.
