Hey guys, I'm super new to this so sorry if this is a dumb question or easy fix. I've tried to install the script multiple times, yet it keeps failing to install key parts of the script. I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where is it failing? Looks like it ran fine, no? Is it not working?

But nothing happens when I plug my eGPU into thunderbolt. Also not showing up in my ECC.

Check under the [Apple] > (While Holding Alt/Option) [System Information...], then in the list on the left hand side, under [Graphics/Displays] do you see your eGPU?

It's showing up there as Nvidia Chip Model, but I have no way of switching over to the GPU to use it.

Have you booted and logged in with the eGPU disconnected? I have to plug it in after logging in for it to properly work. True for all my macs.

Have anyone test it on the Mojave?

23d1 commented 6 years ago

@ChenTH there's no drivers available yet. I've heard through the grapevine that Nvidia are busy updating the drivers for Metal 2 that was introduced in Mojave, and is likely 2-3 weeks out. Then you got the whole process of adapting the script, testing etc—we're probably looking at a month at the very least.

Hi, so 10.13.6 is not supported. Am I right?

learex-zz commented 5 years ago

10.13.6 is supported (I use .6). The problem @atmosvere encounters is tough one. Try a full uninstall. Reinstall macOS and try anew. I’m still not quite sure what this error is. In earlier versions of macOS (.3-.5) a logout solved the problem but users reported that that route ceased with .6 (worth a try though, logout with eGPU connected of course)

Regarding 10.14 as said the drivers are the issue. Old drivers do recognize the eGPU but all graphics Apps do refuse to open. I’ll try to keep the project alive, but my time is more than limited (non existent at the time). For .14 I plan to rewrite the script from the ground up.
