"no device connected" in System Information #43

My system:

After setup by following this guide, my System Information still shows "no device connected" for the 2 thunderbolt ports. Now I am wondering if it is related to my T3->T2 adapter or T2 cable.

Can you shed some lights on it? Many thanks!

Are you using Apple's adapter? For some reason (firmware related I believe), it's a requirement, unless that's changed...

No. Let me switch to Apple’s adapter and try again.

Thanks!
