I don't think I see the need for a sandbox. Sites like wikipedia or stackexchange offer a sandbox to practice edits as edits done on the main page get saved and are globally visible.
Conversely the entire tutorial here is sandboxed: any edits anyone makes are discarded if a page is refreshed and are never visible to anyone else.
Apart from the editor instances that are in most examples, every page links to
https://www.learnlatex.org/en/help
which has an editor in which people could practice.
Additionally the texlive.net back end server has a test page where you can try things (and link to pre-filled templates)
Like Wikipedia can we have a sandbox page for with our simple editor and two of our buttons? This way users can practice writing a document from scratch on our website. Maybe we can add
Sandbox
afterContact
in the header of all the pages, so that users can shift to it from whichever lesson and practice whatever they want.
