Very long loading time for document uplaod #33

Hello, I have been using Collabora - Collaborative document editing for quite a while. Today I upgraded Collabora Online Server (CODE) to the latest version. Everything works so far. Except for one thing: When I upload a document template, the refresh takes an extremely long time. When I can finally access moodle again, the document is there and I can edit it. Note: if I select a blank document, the duration is not measurable. What could be the reason that it takes so long until the server is running normally again? Many thanks for the suggestions and best regards Remo

Hi, I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the Collabora server. Maybe your Moodle is not configured properly, which could be the cause of the long creation time. You can also upload a file by drag and drop. Does this work properly? Best regards Andreas

Hello Andreas, Thank you very much for your message. The long waiting time does not occur when actually uploading (whether drag and drop or not) a file, but when saving the activity. But, strangely, sometimes it takes an extremely long time or it is done immediately with the click. I'm happy to hear any hints or suggestions for solutions. If I find out something new, I will report here. best regards Remo

Hello all, I did some more testing. When creating the activity I have observed the following: If I finish the creation of the activity with "Save and go to course" it takes a long time until the process is finished and I have to log in to moodle again. If I finish the creation of the activity with "Save and show", then the activity is available to me a few milliseconds later. For me a little bit strange behavior. Maybe the description helps to fix the "problem". Best regards Remo

Ok, to going deeper into this I need some more information:

But I still do not belief this has anything to do with the plugin. The first connection to the collabora server is done on loading the document the first time. While it is created no communication to the collabora server happens. Maybe you have another plugin which cause this effect. Maybe your course is very large with lots of content. I don't know :(. Do you check other activities which use files like "File"?
