Calculations in a #() Term #198

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I'd like to see quodlibet to be albe to search something like this:

#(lastplayed < mul(1-rating,5) days)

"mul" represents a multiplication function with 2+ parameters

I've been toying with a similar notion for a while. It's interesting, and I'd
use it
personally, but it could be confusing for non-programmers. Then again, QL has
never
targeted novices.

All the notations in quodlibet's search query are somehow confusing for
non-programmers. E.g.: I don't believe anyone of them can use regular
expressions by
default. But it's very useful and if the user wants to, then there is an option
for
that. So why not for calculations, too?
