it would be nice to list all approaches I can think of, but not sure if adding conditional IOUs and broker's escrow is useful. will leave it as it is until I get some more feedback from first reads.

decided against this, days are fine as they are, even though brokers and escrow are not currently discussed, comm/fiat/crypto currencies are the important comparisons.
