NTVDM System Error 4001h #193

Any suggestions why this has started happening all of a sudden? Everything was working fine until I tried today to use a 16-bit program

error

Does enabling Windows Subsystems for Linux cause it?? That's the only thing I can think of that I've enabled or changed on my system recently.
