Is noembed.com/embed a free service? #90

Firstly, thank you for the wonderful website/tool!

I am currently an iframely user and, while iframely does offer a nice site with lots of fancy tools and a very wide array of supported third-party video sites, I won't really need or use all of those bells and whistles. I mostly embed YouTube videos. Additionally, iframely only allows 1000 hits per month on their free "developer" plan. A site with moderate traffic can easily surpass this.

I am looking for a simple and free (open source is a big bonus as well) alternative, and noembed came onto my radar. If I start using http(s)://noembed.com/embed?, will I eventually hit a limit or have to pay for additional access? As for my personal case, we probably aren't generating much more than 1000 hits per month (based on how iframely is calculating said hits), but maybe we could get 2000 in a very busy month.

Thanks again.

Would love to know this as well. Is Noembed something we can count on if we are to adopt it?

Sorry guys, looks like this project is not being actively maintained, and the noembed url is dead: https://www.noembed.com/

It's actually just the www. that doesn't work. This does: https://noembed.com and the endpoint returns data still:

http://noembed.com/embed?url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DbDOYN-6gdRE

well, they haven't even updated the url on the main page of this repo, and no code touched in years.
