YouTube search / wrong results #41

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open YouTube
2. Search for "1001 noc epizoda 25"
3. Results are completely off

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The results are completely off from what i searched for. For comparison, here
is the link of the same search on YouTube web site:
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=1001+noc+epizoda+25&aq=f

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using r978.

Please provide any additional information below.
I presumed logs are not relevant in this case (error.log has nothing,
MediaPortal.log either. But if you need, I can attach them.

Here is an image of the search results in MePo. Ignore the black background,
I'm doing some skinning :)

I just tried your example and it returned the same results as on the YouTube
website. But: I had to set localize to false on YouTube site in Configuration
to get any results at all. (In 0.26 I explicitly set it to true instead of
false - making YouTube always try to get results in your local language).

Yup, I had localize on true. Just tested, with false I get the same result as
on the site. Good, you can close this, thanks! ;)

BTW, just as a side question (I will open new request if you want), is it
possible to get the recommendations when you're done watching a video? For
example, when watching this show (multipart episodes) on YouTube, there are
recommendations, and one of them is "Up next" - for the next part and I can
just click that. In OV, i have to redo the search.

There are "Similar Videos" in the context menu, do they offer the same?

Yup, pretty much. As far as I could test right now (5 videos), first video in
"Related videos" was always the next part of the episode. Awesome, thanks!

Issue closed with no coding ;)
