Hi Scott,
I've just pushed support for milestone summaries to Github - was this the sort of thing you were looking for? [I'm going to split the "contributors" request into a different issue]
That's great, how does it work?
You should just be able to paste the URL into a post/page, so, one of:
User: https://github.com/wp-e-commerce/
Repository: https://github.com/wp-e-commerce/WP-e-Commerce/
Milestone: https://github.com/wp-e-commerce/WP-e-Commerce/issues?milestone=4&state=open [Note the &state=open is unnecessary, and is currently ignored]
That's perfect! Any ways to hide specifics to only show repo / milestone / open+closed counts?
Right now - apart from display:none; - no. I'm planning on converting it to templates so you'd be able to take the default template, drop it into your theme, and customise away - but that's probably a little way off yet.
Cool, sounds great.
As a far future note, you could eventually expand this into widgets too
Widgets are out-of-scope for now - unless patches are forthccoming so I'm going to close this down as I think we have milestone support, and contributor lists are on another ticket.
Would be nice to embed targeted information. Like count of open/closed for a milestone, due date, or even count of open/closed based on label filters. In addition, the same could be useful for the repo contributors URL, to list contributors on a project.
I'd use this in a flash on http://pods.io/
