Images etc uploaded on Discord appear as blank messages in-game. Send the attachment URL (shortened)
Replace URLs in messages with a shortened link (left4.cf) before publishing.

is there a liability risk if people shorten malicious url's using "left4.cf"? Perhaps we should limit the sending of URLs in chat to users and above, or upgrade the url shortener to display a warning message on user-submitted links

Limiting URLs to users is a good idea. YOURLS already has a preview feature (just add ~, left4.cf/discord~) so we can just modify the preview page slightly.
