For why the language for smart contracts should be declarative and functional.

I desire to have a URL I can send someone to that in the span of 2-5 paragraphs makes this argument. The goal isn't to say we have the "one true way", but simply, "Why should we use this beyond just plain Solidity/C/Go" ?
