Hi QuickPI, I followed your motion sensor tutorial, but did not work as expected. When uploading the program to my esp8266ex, I get back a series of strange ASCII characters, nothing like your tutorial. I have tried diffrent setting from changing the Baud rate to chosing a diff board but nothkng helps. I used the generic esp8266 module and NodeMCU 12 and Node MCU 12E and some othe changes in the setting but I always get the same result.

great tutorials by the way, very clearly explained and easy to follow. Please help.

Same problem as Philip below. wiring is ok, I tried diff. speeds changing and matching the port speed, the result is always the same "16:03:08.153 -> {⸮r{⸮⸮⸮⸮ppn|⸮⸮#⸮⸮⸮⸮⸮{$r⸮{r⸮⸮⸮⸮ppo| ⸮⸮#⸮lے⸮r⸮⸮|⸮2⸮⸮⸮⸮⸮o⸮{oƒb⸮$⸮ې$r⸮rr⸮⸮⸮⸮ppn|`⸮⸮b⸮$⸮⸮⸮ r⸮{r⸮⸮۞ppN| ۂb⸮$⸮⸮⸮ r⸮sr⸮⸮⸮⸮⸮o⸮{o⸮c⸮$⸮ۓ r⸮⸮|⸮⸮⸮⸮⸮N⸮n⸮c⸮l⸮⸮⸮rls⸮{r2⸮⸮." Only the time stamp is ok
