Hi:

Thanks for asking about CSS Grid functionality. While the Coders do plan to supplement the CSS code the Archive supports with Flex functionality, supporting Grid functionality would require recoding the CSS sanitizer significantly. At this time, they do not feel that the benefits justify the number of volunteer hours it would take to complete. We apologize for the inconvenience..

I'll keep this here - they might allow CSS grid in the future, or I might figure out another way to lay this out.
