For me, it makes sense to have the DOI attribute for the study only, not for each of the phenotype in the study. And for a long while, I am afraid, we are not going to have a publication nor a DOI for this study. Let the phenotype do away with the DOI display.
For now, I will comment out the phenotype and study DOI links and the How to Cite ArachisPheno page.
For now, I will comment out the phenotype and study DOI links and the How to Cite ArachisPheno page.
The study DOI field should remain and should show blank to indicate the fact that there is no DOI associated with this specific study.
The DOI links and How to Cite ArachisPheno page are now hidden.
I looked into this a bit more. When we submit a study, ArachisPheno tries to register it with DataCite, but the registration fails because we do not have an account. (I presume this is the desired behavior.)
Each phenotype in AraPheno has a DOI link that goes to DataCite, for example https://search.datacite.org/works/10.21958/phenotype:672 as well as a "Cite" link that can generate properly formatted citations in various formats (APA, BibTeX, etc). Do our phenotypes already have a DOI link that goes to PubMed (or elsewhere), or is this something we have to set up?
Also, does our study have an associated publication?
