Update theme #4

There has been a handful of recent changes to the theme. The starter site needs to be updated to include these changes. This includes adding code to the starter site to demonstrate some of the new theme features. Specifically:

[x] Implement an example blog
[x] Implement a page that demonstrates using web components #5
[x] Use as many of the layouts as possible
[x] Use as many variables that are supported by the _config.yml file as possible
[x] Use layout from theme as defaults in the _config.yml file #12

Does anyone mind if I remove content from the starter site that's not directly related to theme? This would include the following:

community/ directory
contact/ directory
download/ directory
help/ directory
Commented out code in tools/index.html

I'll be adding a blog/ directory and a web-components/ so I'm trying to reduce the clutter.
