A heatmap of genetic diversity is seen in_ Landscape genetics, adaptive diversity and population structure in Phaseolus vulgaris_ (Rodriguez et al, 2015). This might work well too for the quantitative legume trait data we have in germplasm/map.

This is a "nice-to-have" which probably would take several days of work to implement and complement the existing functionality for viewing numerical traits (which is coloring of circular markers).
