install problem #24

Hi author, I am trying to install tripal_phylotree into tripal 2 according to README. However, the step "see in browser admin/modules, and enable tripal_phylotree permissions: add 'View Phylotree' permission to all Roles add 'Administer Phylotree' permission to Admin role(s)" is not working. Because there is no permissions button that let me click or choose.
Do you know what happened for this situation? Many thanks for your helping Yibo

Hi Yibo- thanks for your interest in this module. can you tell me which branch you have checked out? For various historical reasons, the "master" branch on this module is not the one we are actively developing at this time- instead we use the "lis_master" branch. if you try that and it still gives the same issue, I can look into it further, or else you could try the version of this module that has been adopted into the tripal core here: https://github.com/tripal/tripal/tree/7.x-2.1/tripal_phylogeny I think that version has diverged from ours in terms of the features it supports, but it is supported by the core tripal developer group and may be more up-to-date with respect to how the drupal framework is used. A live instance of our version of the module is here: https://legumeinfo.org/search/phylotree I'm not sure if the core version has a live instance somewhere to compare with, but I suppose you can try installing it to do such a comparison (though I think the two versions cannot co-exist in a single tripal instance due to naming conflicts).

Anyway, I'm happy to try to get this sorted out if you want to stick with the version we're developing here. We seem to be getting more interest from other groups in the module, so we may be revisiting whether or not we can bring the two versions of the code back together again- sorry it's a bit confusing at the moment.
