3 months ago I have the same issue. I assumed it could be called climb assist, and keybound that too and tried - still doesn't work.
I recorded a short vid to showcase the problem as well.

Describe the bug Uphill Step Assist does not move player up 1m blocks when walking into them.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior When Uphill Step Assist is installed, keybound, and enabled, walking into 1m high block moves player up to the top of the block.
Mod list No crash report present. Additional context When using this mod a number of years ago, this module installed effectively allowed the player to ascend 1m high blocks as if they were stairs. I am unsure if this functionality has changed in subsequent versions.
