About the author

My name is Rami Aizenbud. I am a mathematician working in the Weizmann Institute of Science. You can find more information about me on my website

Quick Summary

I have made several math posters in Hebrew, and I'll be happy if somebody will translate them into English. If you know the relevant math, no Hebrew knowledge is usually required, since everything is written in math too.

Target medium

Poster.

Requered skills

More details

The main challenge with the translation is that the word length is different, so a redesign of the poster is often required. Here is the list of posters. Note that most posters appear twice: in svg and in png, since the presentation of (Hebrow) svg depends on the platform, so the png shows how it is supposed to look.

  1. Theorems in differential calculus [svg, png] This one I intend to submit to the competition, I'll be happy to submit it together with the translation if it will be done on time. calc15

  2. Quadratic planar curves [svg, png] curs_with_eq6

  3. Archimedean and platonic solids [svg, png] arch_solids3

  4. Quadratic function par6

:-)

Surprisingly all the titles except "L'Hôpital's rule" came out right (to the best of my understanding; I do not really know the common names of these results in English). the verbal explanations are usually quite far...

Is it avalbe in vector format? If yes it can be helpful for the translation?

As far as I understand it has to be possible. No matter the format, I dont think there is inplace editing format but with a bit of human effort I guess it would not be that hard I guess
