I thought of another alternative approach to get the same effect - a keyboard shortcut that enables Automatic Event Join (or an invisible shadow setting), and something that knows to turn that off again once it's triggered once.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I've started using "Join next event meeting ⌘\" to join a meeting when it starts, and that's great. Sometimes I know I'd like to indicate to auto-join the next meeting some time in advance of the start time, but not often enough to use the auto-join option all the time. I feel like a way do something combining these features, to "auto-join [just] the next meeting when it starts later" would be handy.
Describe the solution you'd like My idea is that pressing the "join next" menu item or ⌘\ more than a few (?) minutes ahead of the next meeting would wait until the start time before actually joining.
Describe alternatives you've considered I could turn on auto-join at all times, but since I'm not always at my desk am concerned about accidentally joining a meeting I wasn't quite ready for and confusing people. There might be other ways to implement a "join with a delay", such as a separate option to the current "join next", or bringing the auto-join option more front and center in the menu so it can be switched on and off throughout the day. I feel this would be less elegant than making the existing "join next" feature a bit cleverer.
