Create the new blog and apply the old articles to the new platform. Add the blog link to the footer of lelylan.com. This must be done when releasing the beta to the public.

Possible solutions are those.

octopress - minimal style (great theme)
obtvse - minimal blog using the svbtle style
jekyll - left theme is the best I've found
tumblr - titan, paperback and write are nice themes (but you pay for them)
svbtle - minimal blog platform (not open yet)
information architect - very nice basic style
