static compile does not work #41

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download the ef4af2a2ee revision that introduced the 
qextserialport_global.h file
2. change to static compilation
3. the examples do not compile
4. if QEXTSERIALPORT_EXPORT is removed from the headers, then everything is 
fine

How did you "change to static compilation"?  Did you set CONFIG in src.pro to 
staticlib rather than dll?

Closing this for now, as I can do a static compile on OS X.  If you're still 
seeing this problem, please file another 
ticket with more info.
