Invalid service #44

iPhone XR, iOS 16.5.1, also tried on 17, keeps giving this error:

Backup directory is "." ERROR: Could not start service com.apple.mobilebackup2: Invalid service

huh..? this is a new one, no idea what is going on here

Arch Linux user here! This looks a lot like a error message indicating that a service unit is missing, unfortunately, I don't know how macOS does this, but this seems like it could be an incomplete install of macOS or some service files are missing, please update your macOS and try again.
