Just tested the Google event scenario on Nova Launcher and it worked OK.

Maybe you can attach your settings for testing?

You settings also work.

Its possible this has been indirectly fixed in the dev version:
androidagendawidget.com/development

Installed the Dev version 2.2.0, cleared cache/dalvik cache in recovery. Still
not working.

OK, it's possible that is the cause.

Will test and make changes. A possible workaround would be to enable global
preferences, change the value of "refresh on wake" then disable global
preferences.

Your workaround seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you.

The reason I do not use global settings is because I have two widgets, one for
my work calendar and another for my personal calendar and tasks.

Thanks. I believe I've fixed the bug, will close this issue when I've ironed
out the things I'm working on and uploaded a dev version

roflharrison,

I had the same problem in new Note2 JB 4.1.1 and Apex launcher, with your new
dev Plus version. The added or deleted item cannot refresh after press refresh
button, no matter what setting in global preference / refresh on wake. The only
way to refresh the item is entry to the setting, then quit. Please comment.

Thanks in advace.

wongmankwong, does the problem occur in the stock launcher?

I just restored to original ROM with stock launcher. It is ok. So it may
due to specific ROM or launcher.

But the funny thing is, I restored to problem platform, tried to install
with old version Agenda widget Plus v2.0.16 that got from another phone.
Installed and without any refresh problem now??!!

The development version has new refresh algorithm so it is possible there is
some issues. If some new refresh issue crops up please create a new issue.
