Sync with ICS Tasks #427

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

Enhancement:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. User has ICS 4.x phone
2. User has Exchange Activesync
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
ICS's Exchange Activesync connector already downloads Tasks to a database store
in the phone. Would like Agenda-Widget to permit use of the already existing
ICS Tasks instead of installing another app (Astrid, Touchdown, etc).

What Android OS are you using? Which version of Agenda Widget
ICS 4.0.3. Agenda Widget 2.1.17

Please provide any additional information below.
Please attach a log file attachment if possible in the case of force
closes.
Please add a label for the category of error (e.g. if dates are showing
incorrectly please choose "DateFormat"

As far as I know these tasks are only synced by HTC and Samsung devices. From
what I understand neither of these manufacturers provide the information
required for Agenda Widget to access the data.

If you have seen another application that can access this data please let me
know and I will investigate further.

Thank you for your quick response.

I was worried that was an HTC enhancement to the Exchange Activesync. You
confirmed it. When I create my activesync account, the Tasks are
downloaded. But that must not be part of the standard Android ICS framework?

I'll experiment with some task apps and see if any of them recognize the
native HTC task list.
