There are 2 ways I'd expect applications to react to me clicking "X" (close) button - it's either application completely closes itself or goes to tray.
What it does currently - is minimizing window instead, which can be done by clicing minimize "_" button.
So what I'd suggest - make it completely close the application by deault and add option in the settings to go in system tray instead.
(Like spotify does)
(hotkeys to open ful window should still work)
