We could make the walker (which is the most boring enemy atm) dig into the ground and return at a random position. Or we could make him spawn at the ceiling and jump down when the player approximates.
Since the walker seems to be some kind of beetle, maybe it should sometimes fly/hop from place to place. Crawlers could curl up and do a rolling dash attack when threatened. Centipedes seem like a good candidate for wall-crawling.
I'd like to improve our existing enemies so that they're as cool as the fliers. If you have ideas for how they should act, please post them here.
