Batch Convert Meta Data #133

When I'm batch converting a group of files that all have the same "Artist",
"Album", "Year", "Genre", etc; I wish there was a way to just enter the
"Artist" once instead of having to retype it for each song.

This is my normal technique:

Enter artist name.
Command-A (select all)
Command-N (next track)
Command-V (paste)
Command-N (next rack)
Command-V (paste)
...
until the last track (where I usually end up double pasting on accident).

Enter album name.
Command-A (select all)
Command-P (previous track)
Command-V (paste)
Command-P (previous track)
Command-V (paste)
...
until I reach the first track where Command-P almost always brings up the print
dialogue box, which usually takes about 30 seconds while my hard disk spins.

If you can think of a better way to do this I will be so happy.

Well, right-click the field, and select "Apply This Item for All Files" in the
appeared context menu.

Yes! I love this! Amazing tip!

While I'm here can I ask, is there a way to give this a keyboard shortcut?
