~That sounds and look pretty good as a concept, is lot more engaging, I have been a little off, but I planned to use some static site generator, so is more easy to handle sections (because I see a giant page with a lot of resources and sources) like gatsby, hugo, jekyll or grav.~ Perl is the way now xd
The part that explain the aspects of the game with in-game shoots are a better approach than use a meaningless capture, so I am in with your proposal.
I think this will no longer be needed, at least not as a header, nevertheless we can use it on the Community or any other.
You could wonder why, because an ingame shot will help to see the current "status" of the game, and maybe a small video could be more helpful.
No problem. I liked the alternative image because it was from the starting video, and it reminds me of the demo a long time ago, playing as the Normans vs. the Vikings. And sorry if I haven't contributed much.
While the death screen is a fantastic image... I can't help but think that I see the metaphoric death of Seven Kingdoms with the logo over the image if we go with that :)
I do like showing how the game looks with the image luda provided, even if it is a bit grainy on my screen, it has a bit of artistic impression. But the file size is surprising large. I would suggest trying to get it down to 100K for an image of this quality and size.
@W-Damian If we have the intro video (and the rights to share it) we can use it on the site (in the future maybe). But the main image/video should be direct to what the game is (maybe there is another way?).
I can feel the sense of the decay with the defeat image in a way. it is still a good shot.
About the image, it is not a game screenshot, it is a video cropped screenshot, for now I have reduced the file size to ~300k using a bit of compression, maybe reduce resolution could help or better, have the original screenshot produced by the game.
I began my version of the proposal for the website. I am not a web developer, so It will take some time learning. I found an image we can use that is semi unique. I think it looks good for the page because it is from the intro video. I wanted to ask your opinion on it because I consider using in game screenshots to highlight the about page. This is the image:
I am trying to get a primer on css and html to modify the image size to stretch with the Seven Kingdoms logo. Right now, I am just looking over the code to get an eye for it. Here is a screenshot with what I see as a good brief description that leads into the "Play Now" tab and text.
As for using in game screenshots to highlight the about page, this was sort of done for the old Enlight description. For example, text describing trade would have veteran player screenshots such as a market and manufacturing center or multinational town center for tax revenue, etc.
