can't start server #336

i have installed the server and the folder doesn't have any spaces. i run the bat file and install the server and restart the program. i then configure the server and no mods just casual cs comp. whenever i try to start the server tho i get a quick console window with an error and then the console closes. the message i get: about to perform blocking dns call from main thread. consider refactor. i have no idea why the server won't start i have tried reinstalling twice now but never got it to work. any suggestions to what might be wrong.

Seems to be a Valve issue, e.g. see this post

There is a fix suggested there, either apply it or wait for a proper update. Or consider linux :) where this issue doesn't exist.
