Approved, but we are going to wait to merge until after the caching work has been finished; since you'd be doing a round of conflict resolution then anyway to change the methods being called in the view controllers, you could submit this as two PRs -- one for the functionality, and one for the VC substitutions, in which case you could submit functionality now and VC substitution after caching has been merged, but it's fine if you want to just wait on caching and then do both in this same PR you've already created for ease.
