[Feature request] Display D-pad guide on bottom screen/Immersive HUD #209

Display the D-pad shortcut guide from the HUD mod on the bottom screen in the non-HUD mod version. Most of the center of the screen is wasted space anyway. This would be beneficial for 3DS users to not have to memorize the button shortcuts.

Alternatively, or perhaps better, a HUD mod for 3DS (and native res Citra) users where the HUD is completely removed from the main screen and everything is put on the bottom screen in the empty brown part. So the clock, the d-pad hints from the HUD mod, and the A/B hints from the native game are shown on the bottom screen in the empty space. Call it immersive HUD.

Like this bad

The empty space is used for the in-game map, so that proposed layout is not an acceptable solution. I do agree it would be nice to have the D-Pad controls somewhere on the screen, but it's really complicated to make room for this on the 3DS's tiny screens. (The HD HUD works around this issue by assuming the screen has a higher resolution and scaling down the widget sizes, but that's not something you can do on a real 3DS.)

Yes the map is there I didn't think of that.

The in-game map is not actually needed in real time though. Switch the map display to the main screen and that frees up the bottom screen right?

Or put the dpad guide on the top screen kind of like the majora’s mask randomizer
