Connectbot hangs when connecting #236

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

Connectbot won't connect to any host.

It just says "Connecting to host.com:22 via ssh"

And nothing happens.

I'm using a HTC Hero, and I have loaded a openssh key.

I'm connecting to a Debian 5.0.

What version of ConnectBot? Have you tried a newer version from this website?

Update :)

I tried to connect a couple of days ago and it worked! It's the first time I've
tried
that. But I can't repeat what I did to make it work, and it doesn't work any
more
again. Strange ...

I think that it has something to do with the connection type. I had no signal
(phone)
but was connected to my wifi router.

I didn't change any settings for the program or server I was connecting to.

Okay, now I can repeat it. I can only connect when I use wi-fi. It only works
when I
turn off the phones 3G connection.

I too have this issue on the HTC Magic (Australia) with version 1.6.2 I haven't
tried over wifi but being
able to connect via 3G would be useful.

In my case connecting through 3G is vital. I don't have.access to wireless
networks in most situations where I need an SSH client.

Same problem with my HTC Legend with 3G (SFR - France).
I use the last "nightly" build.

At first, sorry for my bad english.

I've found a solution.

SFR (vodafone or other) bloqued all ports by default and authorize few for
mailling or web browsing. So the ssh default port is bloqued.

I have solve the problem with changing the port of my ssh deamon and listening
on the port 995 (smtp port).
