Poor font resolution on Motorola Droid

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. SSH to any host

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The terminal font seems to be displayed at a lower resolution than what the
Motorola Droid is capable of. (i.e. it seems as though the screen font is
poorly scaled and is blurry - doesn't matter what size you set it to). It
seems that the application is written for 320x480 resolution and the Moto
Droid is simply "doubling pixels" in order to display the terminal font.
However, all other fonts used in menus, etc. are displayed at full resolution. 

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)? 
1.5.5 (r409 2009.09.06)

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
Any Linux Host

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?

A similar issue seems to be on Samsung Galaxy 551. The font is blurred on high 
sizes.
Please provide a font that does not rely on a specific screen resolution.
