I agree, a root account with no password is a security nightmare

On a local development environment?
Besides, you can change the root password from within HeidiSQL.
Its pretty easy to change it inside the MySQL command line too, but don't mess up because I've messed up once and had to redownload haha...
Hi I experienced this behavior when I updated mySQL to above 8.0 in Laragon 5 and I continued to go along with it. Now that Laragon 6 is out I figured it would probably be fixed considering your default mySQL version for Laragon 6 is above 8.0... It would be great if this could finally be fixed so that I wouldn't have to go through a whole process just to change the password... Thanks for your time!
