Face Recognition System In Leon #298

Feature Use Case

Hey @louistiti @ArthurDelamare @Divlo, I have a proposal regarding a use case that is Facial Recognition! The user will be identified prior to any conversation with Leon. With this feature, Leon will be able to recognize users without getting their name via audio or text which will give users a personalized experience using Leon AI.

Feature Proposal

I have a roadmap in my mind to add this feature use case to Leon! Personally, I find Leon intriguing, and working on an issue here would be great!
Can i work on this?

Thank you for this feature idea.

I also think that Leon will need to have some way of authentication to have a personalized experience. In my opinion, to do such a feature, we first need to implement classic authentication with email/password before doing something like Face recognition.

Thanks for your interest to contribute to Leon, I don't think you can work on this unfortunately. There is already lot of things planned until v1.2.0 so it will likely not be merged before this release. But we always welcome new contributors, if you want to help by developing Leon, you can work on something that is on the Trello Roadmap or working on issues labeled as "good first issue".

Hey Thanks For Replying, So Can I work on the classical authentication with Email/Password? It can have multiple Ways of authentication! So as to give user a classic Experience! @Divlo @louistiti @ArthurDelamare

Hi @KaranSurana 👋,

Thanks for considering to contribute to Leon. At the moment there is no plan to make Leon recognizes people or need to be identified, that might come in the future if it aligns with the vision of the project.

Please feel free to add it at your side if it can help for your use cases.
