3 months ago After more investigation, a large part of the issues are from Parallax Occlusion Mapping, but not all. the base texture returns when turning off POM, but there are still significant specular texture errors. Even with all advanced material settings turned off, there are still dark portions of textures and z-fighting on the surface of the chests.
when turning on this mod, Chest textures go buggy or missing. Turning off this mod returns everything to normal. screenshots attached. I was using patrix texture pack in this game, but vanilla textures do the same.
mc 1.20.1 Fabric 0.15.11 Iris 1.7.0 Sodium 0.5.8 Create fabric 0.5.1f BSL shaders with lab pbr on.
