color makes it hard to see on some monitors #146

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run program
2. Look at display
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A clear display of content. A dark display that requires more focus than it 
should.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest on windows

Please provide any additional information below.
An option to change the programs colors would go far in usability.
