It's a certificate problem. Run Adobe air installer as following and choose the .air application :

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe” -ignoreExpiredCertificateTimestamp

Hi benoitvillage,

Thank you for your answer, but it didn't work for me:

> "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe" - ignoreExpiredCertificateTimestamp
> unexpected error: ArgumentError: Absolute path of the air file needs to be specified.

Maybe adobe air has changed since then? I wonder if is there anyone maintaining this project, since apparently (from the link you provided) it's only necessary for the developers to sign the app again for it to work.

I just edit my comment, it should be ok now

Quick hint: Didn't install until I changed Adobe Airs compatibility mode to XP (service pack 3). Now it works fine (Win 10).

I managed to install the program following this instruction:

AIR applications with the above-mentioned issue can be installed using two methods.

Using keyboard shortcuts: Install the Adobe AIR Runtime

Steps to follow on Windows:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0

  2. While holding the “Ctrl” key, select the Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe -> Right click on it -> Run as Administrator. Do not take your finger off the “ctrl” key until you see the window open up.

  3. Select and open the AIR application to be installed.

It works in win 10 (2020/12/10) Thank you very very much. Although I don't know what Ctrl does. But it worked. You know I really like this tool, from winxp to win7. After upgrading to windows10 this year, I found various ways. After torturing me for a long time, I still couldn't succeed. I want to change the system to win7 for this reason. Until today I saw your post.

Help I facing a same problem. Already tried: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe" - ignoreExpiredCertificateTimestamp And I got: unexpected error: ArgumentError: Absolute path of the air file needs to be specified.

I already tried to hold “Ctrl” key, select the Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe -> Right click on it -> Run as Administrator. Do not take your finger off the “ctrl” key until you see the window open up and Select and open the AIR application to be installed. But It can't started download! Please help 🙏
