Problem with v. 1.8 #87

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get notification that upgrade is available; try to upgrade;
2. SW upgrades, and starts OK, but OLD version;
3. Ask again if I want to upgrade.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.7 on Windows 7.

Please provide any additional information below.
