intro (James) Story of the website

Problem - Parents want to know the children's gift requests

call out does anyone have kids or do you remember when you were young how did your parents know what you wanted for christmas.

I am always asking my kids "so what do you want from Santa"

The kids rattle off a bunch of toys & i can't really go write them down. There would be too many questions as to why i would be writing it down.

I do remember some of what they say but sometimes you look for it online & there are ten different colours. So what do they want? Hence the Problem.

The solution would be giving the kids the opportunity to select exactly what they want on an interactive website.

what happens when your child rattles off a number items. Your in a toy store & the kid wants everything but that’s impossible to remember it all.

Some stores only have a limited items and not many people shop in a store, its all online now so hence online site of items for children to view.

We have made the site as user friendly for children as possible with little typing as possible and a touch screen for an easy walk through.

Page one - Entry page (leonghh)

Main page where the children enter their name & age. It's designed to be user friendly with large buttons & simple UX design with an easy entry for children to do it by themselves or with their parents. All details are added go to local storage.

Page two - Category & top selling page (leonghh)

There are top selling items that the children want to add to their list or a group of categories where they can find more items.

So the kids sit down with the parents to find out want they want to add to their Christmas list . We are using best buys API, but more to be added later: eBay, walmart & amazon.

We were working on code for individual pages at one stage but we need to combine the script as it was not going to interact with each others pages.

Page three - items page (Sevenspell)

when they select the categories they can then view the items and then be able to select the items they want from the items displayed. "I want this item list for Christmas"

Once the child has selected the item they want for Christmas they can then send the list to Santa. The list is added to local storage for viewing via the parents portal.

Later Pages - Parents login, Business api & Price comparison

Parents will be able to view what "Timmy" wants or any other child they have as the details are added to local storage.

Business Api

Price comparison
