Locally save disk info #584

1) Please describe the steps to reproduce the situation:
a. Start Rubyripper GUI Insert a CD
b. Edit disk information
c. Exit and restart Rubyripper GUI

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The disk information should have been saved and show up. I should not have to
type all the stuff again. It does not play a role if freedb is enabled or
disabled.

3) What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system? The
gtk2 of commandline interface?

Latest version from git, checked out 2013-08-27.

4) Is this not already fixed with the latest & greatest code? See for
instructions the Source tab above.

No.

5) Does the problem happen with all discs? If not, please attach
the output of cdparanoia -Q with a disc that gives trouble.

Yes, all kind of disks.

6) Please explain why this change is important for you. Also, how many
users would benefit from this change?

I think that saving disk information is the expected behaviour. All preferences
are saved, so it does not make a sense not to save disk information. Also, it
is a lot of work to type all the track titles. Users should not have to do this
more than once. Another option which I miss in this context is uploading disk
information to freedb.
