A suite of experimental tools that I used for manipulating old runescape audio. No longer maintained/updated, please see the link for the latest project.
This soundfont replaces the Older RuneScape soundfont. It's a direct conversion from the standard Windows soundfont (GM.DLS) to an SF2 file using Awave Studio. This means it's usable for other MIDI Synths like BASSMIDI to emulate a much better Microsoft GS WaveSynth.
The differences are:
Every note should be assigned properly. I haven't heard any note being off in 100+ RuneScape songs.
The notes doesn't overstay it's welcome unlike other older RuneScape soundfonts. It's pretty much the same as Microsoft GS WaveSynth in that regard.
I can't say how it's sounds on the OSRS MIDI Player though, but it should sound the same with the differences i've states above.
Tested this specific soundfont with the MIDI player - it sounds different from what I would expect. When I render out songs, I can see one channel is heavier in volume than the other.
