Discuss -- i will answer / respond to what you say !

i have seen somewhere that someone refered to saving / getting the most 
expensive capital - this will be delt with eventually in order to get this 
ship you will need to go thru a lot of very expensive research to get it

the transwarp ability for borg ships was a temporary ability has been 
removed now

Yes the borg are powerful as that is because they must borg ship prices 
are / will be triple of their counterparts in other factions fleet supply 
is going to be split so yes you can get 16 capitals 16 / 2000 = 125 the 
fleet supply for a capital so yes if other players leave you alone long 
enuff to get 16 cubes its their fault not yours if you destroy 
everything :P

eventually the idea is the borg player will get atleast 50% of his / hers 
fleet via assimilating ships from other races (note capital ships will be 
immune to assimilation)

Actually, I love the transwarp ability, but the version that was out a few days 
ago
was a little too powerful - allowing ALL borg ships to transwarp straight to ANY
OTHER borg ship is overkill (I was warping cap ships in to visit my scouts at 
the
enemy homeworld) - I think that it would be more appropriate to make the 
ability only
reside in cap ships (maybe with the exception of the queen's diamond) so that 
normal
borg ships (and maybe allies ships!) can only 'transwarp' FROM a system w/ a 
borg cap
ship TO a system w/ a borg cap ship.  That could possibly be augmented by an
expensive borg structure (or station upgrade maybe?) to allow it to serve as a
transwarp initiation cite.

Regarding the cap ship limit, I think that 16 is too high - maybe double the 
supply
cost of the ultimate ship or perhaps eliminate their ability to research beyond 
a
certain number of cap ships (4-8).  If that means that the "ultimate" borg ship 
is
twice as expensive/powerful to balance things out, that may be okay, as long as 
it
doesn't become lopsided in a typical game.

I like the idea of 'most' borg ships from assimilation too.  However, 'most' 
will
have to be a relative term since you need borg ships to assimilate other ships, 
and
when you assimilate, you'll blow your supply cost.

A tac structure and the starbase giving access to transwarp conduits sound 
reasonable.

A couple of the icons are difficult to see, the diamond in particular could 
stand to
be bigger or more substantial.

A couple minor problems noted w/ Borg:

1. The unicomplex module doesn't have a grayed-out icon for station construction
before you research it.  For some reason, the ability isn't there at all until 
you
research it, then it shows up.  Other abilities that require research are 
usually
grayed out.  This may be a hardcode limit problem with all constructors, I 
don't know.
2. Cap ships have 110 supply, which doesn't make much sense given the Dom 
Enslaver is
125.  Seems the borg should be that much at least.  Personally, I also support
reducing the max number of cap ship slots to lower than other races, but it 
seems I'm
in the minority on that one.
3. Should some of the higher-tier cap ships (like the mega cubes) have some 
research
prerequisites like the other cap ships for other races?
4. The cap ship assimilation ability is kinda rough to use b/c the cap ship 
routinely
blows up the target first.  Any chance of making a 'cap ship' version that gets
faster?  Can code if you like.

The borg diamond icon.  It's pixel wide lines, they blend well when it's a dark 
color
over a similar background.

Note, capital ships cannot utilize the fifth ability slot, it overlaps with the
upgrade menu.  Need to pick an ability to scrap on the colony capital.
